26 weeks

These 26 week pictures were taken 2 weeks ago. I'm bummed I wasn't able to stay on track liked I planned, but being pregnant has it's good days and it's bad. I have so many goals and things I want to do every week, but I can't promise anything. I get super lazy some weekends where I just lay there for hours watching reality show after reality show. And then there are days (weekends) where I can't stop moving, cleaning, baking, nesting....so you just neva know! 

After going to the Adrift hotel in January, we went to Utah for a week to visit my sister and her family. It was a much needed week off for both of us. We both have earned our first year vacation, and since the baby will be very new during the summer (the better months to take a nice week long vacation), we decided to take a winter vaca. I have to admit that I went snowboarding (I was 24 weeks), but I had asked my Dr. and she just told me that I needed to be super careful, which I was. I had a blast of course, but got frustrated because I couldn't breath in my pants all day. And then every time I tried to get up from snapping in my boots, I about crapped my pants from all the pressure. I finally gave up half way through the 3rd day that I went back down the hill. 

Again, we had an awesome time hanging with my sister, brother-in-law, kiddos, and my niece Rilee! Full of lots of activities, lots of food, and lots of love!

Back to reality.......

Dearest baby bird,

These are the little converse we bought you last week! I love them!! Both me and your daddy have a pair just like these! But who knows, maybe you'll grow to dislike our style and think it's "nerdy" or "old fashion" just like I thought my parents style was! I will have you wear them though before you know any different!

Mama's feeling good these days, although it's starting to get hard to breath, and I can't eat a lot of food because you're taking up so much room! I love that you're growing, but hate that I can't eat more, because I love food! I also started having an old yoga teacher of mine come to the house once a week to help me with pregnancy yoga. I could probably go find a studio somewhere, but everything in Oregon is so trendy, making it expensive to join, so I passed and asked her to help me! Its actually cheaper than jointing a studio! The day after her first visit,  I noticed my ankles and legs got really swollen. It really scared me, because I couldn't see my ankle bones anymore, and my legs felt so tight like they were going to rip right open. It was not a comfortable feeling, but it started going away a few days later. Since then, it has come and gone, and I've realized that it's the circulation in my body. Since carrying more and more weight, my blood flow is lacking, seriously. I hear it's normal though.

I still have an inward belly button, I have gained a total of 10 pounds so far, I have become really moody (no crying though), and my cravings this week have been Fuji apples, cheese (all cheeses), and lots of ice-cream!

I am getting very excited because your grama Cathy is flying me out to California (where we used to live) for Easter weekend. I have been back once in the last year and a half, and I didn't even get to visit them while I was there. She is also planning a baby shower for me since I won't have one here in Washington (we don't know that many people yet). So I can't wait to go out there to see everyone that I miss so dearly. She and your grampa (this is how she spells grama & grampa, you'll learn) have been sending us Target gift cards every couple weeks, in order to buy diapers, bottles, baby clothes, etc. They have been very generous and already love you so much!

I am getting so giddy to meet you, and so is your daddy! You have so much family that already loves you and also can't wait to meet you. I try to picture the way you're going to look, and your little personality every single day!!! I have fears that you will get our worst assets, maybe that's not normal thinking, but hoping you will get only our best!
